Kimi ni Todoke

Last year i watched a Japanese cartoon named Kimi ni Todoke which means the leading roles have something they want to talk to each other.

The girl named Sadako is very shy and she has difficulties to communicate with others. The other students in the class think she is a geek and also don’t want to be friends with her. The boy named Kazehaya Shouta is very good at social communication and he is very popular with the other students.

One summer afternoon before the new semester of Grade One in high school the boy lost his way to new school. Suddenly he saw a beautiful girl walking under the cheery trees. He walked to her and asked how to get to the new school, to his surprise, the girl with a smile on her face in the sunshine of sunset seems like a goddess to him. At that moment the boy fell in love with the girl.

In the new semester the boy always helped the girl. With the help, the girl became more confident and had more friends. But the boy was not confident himself, he was afraid that the girl would reject him. On the other hand, the girl believed the boy was an ardent person and he was just helped her like he helped someone else. But she had already fell in love with the boy unconsciously, she was also afraid that she may lost him if she told him her feelings. The boy and the girl were very shy to tell their feeling about each other face to face.

So this cartoon is mainly concerned with first love. Maybe it is also better for me to find a girl to love. Do I have the courage to say “I love you” to the girl?
